Edith Maskey was born in San Antonio and can’t remember a time when she didn’t love art. “Painting is the finest form of expression I know and is my personal statement about the things around me. Hopefully, my paintings have conveyed my emotions. I feel it is the most sincere means of communication.” Edith’s watercolors are a visible demonstration of her love of color and exuberance of expression. Her paintings have won numerous awards and have been featured in articles by Southwest Art, Art Voices, American Artist, and other fine art magazines. Edith has a special fondness and preference for themes from Mexico, Texas, their people and culture. She and her artist husband John, live and paint in their studio and home in the Texas Hill Country near Comfort.
